The article shows how to 'batch cancel' a full day of appointments/sessions
To cancel a day of appointments and sessions, navigate to the main calendar by day view.
Click Show filters.
Then, click the Batch Cancel button (the "X" icon).
By definition, all batch cancellations are staff cancellations. This means that any owed credits will be issued according to your services' staff cancellation policies and any cancelled appointments / sessions will show as $0 in your payroll report.
Note: for most businesses, appointments/sessions that are cancelled due to holiday closure should not be entered as staff cancellations unless your business issues make-up credits for these lessons as a policy. 1. Specify a Cancellation reason - this will be used as a label for any credits issued due to the batch cancellation.
2. Toggle on / off Remove from calendar, Don't issue credit(s), or Do not notify the participants (Clients & Staff).
- If Remove from calendar is toggled on (green), then the events to be cancelled will also be permanently deleted from the calendar. This action is totally irreversible and is not necessary in most cases.
- If Don't issue credit(s) is toggled on (green) then no credits will be issued for the canceled events.
- If Do not notify the participant (Clients and Staff) is toggled on (green) then clients, their account managers, and assigned staff will not be notified of cancellations.
3. Provide a notification message to be included in the batch cancellation notification.
If Do not notify the participants (Clients and staff) is toggled on then this option will not be available.
4. Click Proceed With Batch Cancel to confirm your batch cancellation.
