How do I automatically assign my staff to prospects in my pipeline?

This article explains how to automatically assign staff in a round robin to new prospects as they are created via self-booking or self-registration (/lead or /register forms).

Opus1.io PLUS customers can now set staff to be automatically assigned on a round-robin basis when a new prospect is created via self-booking or self-registration (/lead or /register forms). 

Note:
when prospects are created via admin (not self-booked), no staff is automatically assigned, but you can assign one as you create the prospect.

 

1. To select staff to be automatically assigned to new prospects, start by navigating to Business Settings > General tab

2. Scroll down to the CRM section and click on the edit button (the pencil icon)

3. Under Automatically assign staff to new prospects, click the Add Staff button.

4. Use the drop down menu to select staff and assign a priority level. High priority staff have a higher likelihood of being assigned to new prospects. For example, this is useful if you have an admin dedicated to inbound sales who should be handling the majority of new prospects.

5. Scroll down and click Click "Update Business" to save.

Now when new prospects are created, one of the staff will be randomly selected based on priority and set as the assigned staff of that prospect. 

Note: if you are tracking staff commissions, only the staff assigned to the prospect gets the commission.  Refer to our article "How do I track Staff Commissions" for more information.
