This article provides suggestions for creating an SMS Privacy Policy for Mobile Marketing This article provides a sample of an SMS Marketing privacy policy that you may use to create your own.  *The privacy policy you create MUST be customized based on your actual data collection, usage and disclosure practices.*  Each section must be reviewed in detail and edited as necessary.  You will need to review and edit all text that is \[bracketed\] and/or highlighted in yellow.  Be sure to remove all brackets/highlights and drafting notes before finalizing your privacy policy.    **Collecting numbers and sharing them with third parties or affiliate marketing platforms is strictly prohibited by all US carriers. If your published privacy policy states that collected information may be shared with third parties, even with the client's consent, your ability to send SMS will be blocked by all carriers.** As of November 2024, national regulations changed regarding what can and cannot be in a privacy policy, including stating there will be no sharing of information with third party marketing affiliates. There must also be a separate terms and conditions for SMS. This can be in the same URL as the privacy policy or a separate one. This sample privacy policy may not meet all the legal requirements that apply to you. *For example, if you are subject to privacy legislation such as the [California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)](https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa), the [General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)](https://gdpr.eu/), the [UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)](https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/), or similar privacy legislation, you may be required to provide additional disclosures and rights to your users*. Edit:** Ways to open/edit the PDF on a computer (not recommended to edit using a phone or similar device as it's more complicated to edit) - Open using **Adobe** or like PDF Editor - Or, if you do not have a PDF Editor on your computer, you can open the document using **Google Docs** or **Microsoft Word** \> make the appropriate changes - **NOTE: you must remove any sections that refer to affiliate marketing prior to uploading to your main website. Affiliate marketing is not permitted by the Campaign Registry. Failure to remove these sections will result in your business verification failing. ** **3.
