[Locations & Rooms](https://kb.opus1.io/business?hsLang=en#locations-rooms) # Location Types ## This article explains the 4 different location types in Opus1.io ### [Opus1.io](http://Opus1.io) supports four location types: 1\. **Primary** 2\. **Online** 3\. **Home** 4\. **Events**   ### Primary Locations   The **Primary** location type is designed to support your business's brick-and-mortar studio, academy, or school. Your clients visit your primary location in-person for their appointments and sessions.  The primary location type also supports clients attending online with their teachers who are teaching remotely from your studio, academy, or school. You can configure your primary location by specifying **open hours/days, closed hours/days, rooms,** and a **sales tax rate** for businesses where local sales tax is collected.    ### Online   The **Online** location type is designed to support your business' online appointments and sessions. This location is typically utilized for clients whose appointments and sessions are either permanently or consistently remote, especially with teachers who are not teaching from a room at your studio, academy, or school.    ### **Home**   The **Home** location type is designed to support your business' in-home appointments and sessions. Typically, home locations are utilized to cover a region or area where in-home lessons are offered, rather than for individual home addresses.    ### **Events**   The **Events** location type is designed to support your business recitals, concerts, performances, and adjudications. Events locations can only be used with events-based services; appointments and sessions cannot be booked at event locations.      **NOTE:** Event locations cannot be used to book appointments and sessions, only events-based services (e.g. recitals) can be booked at events locations.    **NOTE:**  The price of your [Opus1.io](http://Opus1.io) subscription is calculated based on the **number of your business locations and active clients**.  Adding locations will increase the cost of your [Opus1.io](http://Opus1.io) monthly subscription.
