I am unable to Log in. How do I troubleshoot Login issues?

This article entails basic troubleshooting steps to take to resolve login issues.

Note:
If you see you are logging in via https://app.opus1.io/login this should redirect you to your business URL. However, if you are encountering any issues, please use your direct login URL, for example: https://yourbusinessname.opus1.io/login
If you are getting an error message, take a screenshot and share this with opus1.io Support Team within the chat or at support@opus1.io

If you’re having trouble logging into your opus1.io account here are a few things to check:

1. What browser are you using: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Other?
A. Is it recent? Outdated versions of web browsers can open up to serious security flaws that allow malicious websites to read your files, steal passwords, and infect your computer. By running an older web browser you'll also probably be missing out on useful new features of Opus.
B. Have you tried using different browsers?
Try switching browsers; Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
Try logging in through a Incognito/Private mode.
C. Use another browser profile (e.g Chrome profiles, Firefox Profile Manager)
Browser profiles have a different cache or history.
2. What device are you using: desktop or mobile?
Have you tried logging in on a different device or computer?
3. How are you logging in?
Screenshot 2023-05-28 at 3.59.16 PM
A. Are you using email+Password?
B. Have you tried logging in with Google (Google Login)?
C. Are you using an invitation link to log in? The invitation link has an expiration date and might have been expired
4. If you are an Owner, note that for security reasons 'Get A Login Link By Email' is disabled for security purposes. Please contact opus1.io chat support or email support@opus1.io to receive a reset password email.
Get A Login Link By Email'  should work for other users; Clients, Limited Staff, Staff, and Managers.
If checking the above items did not resolve your login issues, it could be more complex. Here are some additional things to check:
  1. Check if your computer clock is up to date.
The correct time and timezone should be displayed. Ideally, your computer's clock should be set automatically via the Internet.

If your system time is off from the current correct time for the timezone set on your computer it will prevent you from logging into opus1.io.

This is because with a system clock being out of sync your account cannot be properly authenticated to log in.

    For Windows:
Ensure that your clock is synced by clicking on Sync Now
    Capture (1)

    For Apple:
Set Time and Date Automatically is suggested,
OR, Manually select your Time zone and City

  2. Are you using a VPN?
VPNs are often used by hackers and bad actors. Most VPNs are blocked by our firewall to protect our customers data. If you are unable to login and using a VPN, we ask that you turn it off.

You may not be aware that you are using a VPN. There are software or antivirus systems that use VPNs or proxies running in the background. We recommend uninstalling or disabling these softwares as they can interfere with your computer normal operations.

  3. Are you accessing opus1.io from an unsupported country?

For security purposes, certain countries not served by opus1.io and which most of internet attackers originate from are blocked from accessing opus1.io.

Note that we can also whitelist specific IPs if necessary.

If after doing all these steps you are still unable to log in or access your opus1.io account, please contact us the in support chat or email us at support@opus1.io and provide as much details as possible:
  • Operating System
  • URL being accessed
  • Exact error / screenshot
  • Browser used / type & version
  • Method of authentication used (Password/ Google)
  • Who is trying to login and having trouble?
  • Is the problem systematic or intermittent?
  • Are other people able to login?
