How to change your services' cancellation policies
To change your services' cancellation policies, navigate to the Settings tab and select Services from the drop-down menu.
Find the service for which you wish to update your cancellation policies and click Update below that service.
On your service's settings page, navigate to the Cancellation tab near the top of the page.
Under the Cancellation Policy, you can configure your visit cancellation policies, and late cancellations, and enable or disable client self-cancellations.
To change your cancellation policy, click the Edit button (the pencil icon) on the right side of the page.
As shown in the image below, you can choose:
- If late cancellations are handled differently than regular cancellations and, if so, what counts as a late cancellation.
- Disable the ability for clients to use credits (hides the "use" button on service credits).
- Disable clients' ability to self-cancel their appointments or session attendance (hides the "cancel" button for appointments / sessions for clients)
- Allow staff to cancel unpaid appointments (useful to enable if you allow clients to cancel future months' appointments/sessions before having paid for that appointment/session)
- Edit the cancellation policy displayed to clients when they self-cancel appointments.
Once you're done editing your cancellation policy, click Update Service.
Each type of cancellation - Client Visit Cancellation, Client Late Visit Cancellation, and Staff Visit Cancellation - can also be configured individually.
