How do I ensure that make-ups are only booked over canceled lessons?
This article will guide you through the process of configuring your system to allow make-up lessons to be booked only over canceled/late canceled/staff cancelled lessons.
Note: this setting greatly decreases the overall number of makeup slots compared to other configurations. If you have questions about whether this setting is right for your business, please reach out to support@opus1.io.
Start by navigating to the make-up service details page and click on the edit pencil icon:
Scroll down to (Beta) Availability mode for Self-Booking. Use the dropdown menu to select, "Staff Availability but only on canceled/late canceled appointments".
Be sure to click UPDATE BUSINESS to save your changes.
Reminder: This setting should NOT be enabled for recurring appointment services and ONLY for make-up services. If you have any questions about whether this configuration is right for your business, please reach out to support@opus1.io.
Double check your Staff Pay Policy: Schools that utilize this setting typically will always pay for the original lesson time and not the make-up, ensuring that no staff is double-paid for giving a make-up over a previously cancelled lesson.
