Payment Terminals

Payment terminals are only supported for schools leveraging FiServ as a payment processor. To purchase a terminal, log into FiServ and navigate to Marketplace. Most customers use the Clover Mini or Clover Flex, which support tap, dip, and swipe payments. Note that these models do not have a keypad — if you need to manually enter card numbers, you will need one of the Ingenico models instead.

To connect your FiServ-issued terminal to your Opus1.io:

  1. Plug your FiServ-issued terminal into a power source.
  2. Connect the terminal to the internet via ethernet cable or wi-fi, depending on your model.
  3. The terminal will automatically attempt to connect to the FiServ cloud. When successful, it will display a confirmation message (e.g."Bolted...").
  4. Log into your Opus1.io account as an owner. Go to Business settings → Payment → Payment Terminals and click the Edit button (pencil icon).
  5. Click Sync. Your terminal should appear in the Terminals list.
  6. Optionally, give your terminal a custom name (e.g. "Front Desk") by clicking the Label column.
