How do I allow Opus1 to send batch emails from the main schedule?

This article shows how to 'batch email' a preset group of students directly from your main schedule

Opus1.io supports sending batch emails. This is useful, for example, in the event that a teacher calls out sick or you need to close your school at the last minute due to inclement weather.

To send a batch email, first expand your filters by clicking on the Show filters button.

To batch email all students who have lessons on a particular day,  click the 'mail' icon on the top left-hand side of your main schedule.

This will open a box that will allow you customize your batch email audience.  You can choose to email clients (which also includes their associated account managers), staff, or both.  You can also choose whether you want to include students/staff with cancelled or closed lessons, or just students with active lessons that day.

The 'Email Batch' button will open your browser's default email client for mailto links.  Opus1 will automatically split large numbers of recipients into separate batches, as most email platforms set a cap of 200 recipients allowed in any one email.

Note: If the Email Batch buttons do not open your email agent, you do not have your browser configured to work with this feature.  Depending on what browser you are using and what email client you use, the instructions on how to configure your default email client will vary.  View the how-to tutorials below to configure your default email browser.  If you don't see your browser & email client below, feel free to reach out to support@opus1.io for additional guidance.

If you prefer, you can copy all of the recipients email addresses to your clipboard.  You would then compose an email, and paste the email address in the BCC field.

Note: Copying emails to clipboard may not work on all browsers
