How do I allow my clients to self-cancel unpaid appointments and/or session dates?

Enable your services to allow clients to self-cancel unpaid appointments

When you allow for unpaid appointments to be self-cancelled, you're not only opening make-up slots further in the future, you're saving valuable admin time it takes to facilitate future cancellations, too!  Additionally, you can now require that clients can only use service credits if the corresponding invoice of that appointment / session date is paid.  

 

When these two features are turned on together, clients who self cancel an appointment are issued a credit, but can only use the credit once the invoice associated with the canceled appointment is paid.

Step-by-step instructions to enable this feature on a single service

 

Step 1: Select the Gear Icon in your left-hand menu > Select ‘Services

Step 2: Select the ‘update’ button on the service you wish to edit

Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Cancellation’ tab > Select the pencil icon to edit the ‘Cancellation Policy’ section

Step 4: Toggle onthe following 2 settings and press the ‘update service’ button at the bottom to save:

  1. Allow Clients to self-cancel unpaid appointments / session dates
  2. Only allow using service credit issued as a consequence of cancellation once corresponding appointment / session date invoice is paid?

Follow these few easy steps to ‘Batch Update’ multiple services at once to configure this feature:


Step 1: Select the Gear Icon in your left-hand menu > Select ‘Services

Step 2: Filter for the services you wish to apply the feature to > Select ‘Batch Update’ button on the right hand side of the screen

Step 3: Filter for the following 2 attributes and toggle the setting ‘on ’ for both.  Press the ‘Batch Update’ button to save


  1. Allow Clients to self-cancel unpaid appointments / session dates
  2. Only allow using service credit issued as a consequence of cancellation once corresponding appointment / session date invoice is paid?
