  • How do I enable my Opus1.io to use the SMS Premium Feature? Our team must enable it for you. If you wish to enable SMS for your business, please submit our SMS Enablement Form here
  • Does opus1.io support international phone numbers? Currently, we support SMS for US and Canadian businesses.
  • How much does the SMS feature cost?
    Our SMS Premium Feature costs $99 / month on top of the cost of your Opus1.io subscription. This fee includes 8000 messages sent / received and up to one phone number for your business. Additionally, we offer higher SMS volume packages and multi-location SMS for business with different numbers for each location.
  • How many messages can I send with Opus1.io's SMS feature? $99 / month includes 8000 SMS messages sent and received. Each SMS message is composed of 160 characters such that a 1600-character message would count as 10 messages towards your monthly limit. If you require more than 8000 SMS per month, please contact support@opus1.io to inquire about volume discounts.
  • How much is multi-location SMS? Each additional line / number is an additional $29/month. Businesses with per-location SMS share their monthly SMS volume among their locations.
  • Can I send images with SMS in opus1.io? Yes, MMS messages can be sent in Opus1.io, but be aware that one image is equivalent to 8 SMS segments.

  • Can I delete messages in instant messaging? Currently any SMS sent through [opus1.io](http://opus1.io) cannot be deleted.
  • Can I use my businesses' phone numbers for SMS in opus1.io? Most numbers can be used (landlines, virtual number from other providers). Wireless numbers / Cell phone numbers can usually not be used. Please contact support@opus1.io to find out if your phone numbers are eligible for SMS in opus1.io
  • How is my monthly 8000-SMS limit calculated? Each SMS is broken down into 160-character segments. Each segment counts as 1 SMS such that a 1600-character message would count as 10 SMS towards your monthly limit. For questions about best practices when sending batch SMS, see our article here
  • What happens if I reach my monthly SMS limit? Your SMS feature will continue to function. If your business significantly exceeds 8000 messages per month the cost of your SMS Premium Feature will be adjusted accordingly. Please contact support@opus1.io for questions regarding pricing.
  • How long does it take to enable SMS for my business? Assuming your number works with Opus1.io SMS, our team can enable our SMS Premium Feature for your business in a few minutes. After that, we register your business with The Campaign Registry, a ledger maintained by the major telecoms (AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile, etc.) comprised of verified legitimate businesses. Once registered, verification of your business takes approximately 5 business days. Until your business is verified, large batch SMS may be filtered (i.e. not delivered) in accordance with the policy of each telecom. Our team will notify you when your business is verified and approved by The Campaign Registry, which represents the completion of the SMS enablement process.
