Does Opus1.io support Gift Cards?

Today, selling gift cards is not directly supported, but this article details a workaround you may find helpful!

With your help, users can gift others with monetary and/or service credits.  Here’s how:

1.  Create Profile (if needed): The gift-giver will need to have a profile in Opus1.io.  When creating their profile, be sure to include the gift-giver's name & email address.  All other information is optional.

  2.    Charge Gift-giver: Once their profile is created, you'll charge the gift-giver a one-time charge from their profile. 

1. 1. Click the 'Charge/Invoice' button to the left of their name in the purple box on their profile. 
      
   2. Enter the amount they'd like to gift.  Be sure to indicate who & what the gift is for in the 'Charge descriptions' box (E.g. $150 Gift Card for Jillian Storey - 3 services).  Press the 'Process Charge' button.

  3.   Add Credits to recipient's account (the receiver of the gift): Once the gift-giver has been charged, go to the recipient's profile > navigate to the 'credits' section > add credit. From here you can choose to issue either a monetary credit or service credit(s).

1. 1. Monetary credit works like cash and can be applied to future invoices 
   2. Service credits (ex. 3 private 30 minute flute lessons) can be used to book specific services

*Be sure to indicate who the gift was from in the description for your own record-keeping.
