This article explains how to Deleting / Merging Duplicate Accounts
Deleting / Merging Duplicate Accounts
Duplicate client accounts within your Opus1.io account can happen in a number of ways, including migrating from other platforms with poor data management, clients creating new profiles when they forget their login credentials, or due to staff user error.
Ensuring duplicate accounts are deleted or merged will prevent mistakes booking appointments under the wrong account and client difficulty logging in to the wrong account.
Deleting a duplicate account
A duplicate profile with an empty schedule (appointments or session enrollments), can simply be deleted.
To delete a duplicate client profile, click the trash icon (delete user button), then click CONTINUE to confirm. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Note: Any association with other accounts, such as dependents or account managers, will be removed and all information in the account (i.e. phone numbers, address, email, notes, etc) will also be deleted permanently.
Merging a duplicate account
If a duplicate account has booked appointments or session enrollments, merging the accounts is a better option than deleting.
To use the Merge tool, navigate to your client's profile. Click the "..." icon to the left of their profile picture, then click Merge.
- On the left side of the menu, select the profile whose appointments, sessions, subscriptions, and invoices will be transferred to the profile on the right.
- The Merge From profile will be deleted after merging is complete, so make sure you have the correct profiles listed for Merge From and Merge To.
- If you need to switch the profiles with one another, click the double-sided arrow icon at the top of the menu.
- Once you have selected the correct profiles, click the Merge button at the bottom of the page.
Note: if you are merging a duplicate client profile with a staff profile, the staff profile must be on the right-hand side of the merge window.
